Yin Yoga

Wednesday 13 September 2017

A deeply calming and restorative practice with a focus on long-held passive asanas (postures) that work into the deeper connective tissues to mobilise and strengthen joints and ligaments and work deep into fascial networks. Yin yoga also provides a workout for the mind as you stay in an asana for a number of minutes riding the ‘comfortable’ edge of a stretch. This is where the true essence of yoga, calming the mind, comes into play. Props and aids are used so this style of class is easily accessible to all abilities.

19:00 - 20:30, Exwick, Exeter, EX4 2EX.

Yoni Shakti - women's yoga

Wednesday 20 September 2017

19:00 - 21:00, Exwick, Exeter, EX4 2EX.

A workshop of sensory deliciousness to foster a connection with our feminine intuitive wisdom.

Wednesday 20 September is a new moon, a time of looking within and introspection. Using Yoni Shakti (source power) yoga practices including meditation, pranayama (breath work), gentle asana (postures) and yoga nidra (yoga sleep) this workshop is about honouring the new moon energy with a gentle feminine inspired practice. The womb-space (or Yoni Shakti) is the source of our inner wisdom so is especially significant at the new moon a time of connecting to our intuitive wisdom and planning for the month ahead. The womb is a physical organ but also a symbol of our connection with mother consciousness and a place that embodies the elements of both earth and water. Movements will be fluid and flowing like water, while we also focus on grounding to the earth allowing us to connect with ourselves and bring awareness to our heart space and creative centre.
