Numbers of sick days are on the rise and cases of depression and anxiety in the workforce are adding-up. Providing corporate yoga and wellness programmes for employees could improve the productivity of your workforce.

Research commissioned by the Health Work and Wellbeing Executive shows a link between the introduction of wellness programmes in the workplace and improved business key performance indicators.

Corporate yoga classes can improve employee productivity by combating sickness, stress and anxiety. The rejuvenating, breath focused practice gives people time away from their work-station to relax and gently release stress and tension from body and mind.

Corporate yoga also helps with the physical stresses of staying in one position for long periods. People in sedentary jobs are prone to muscle shortening due to holding their bodies in a tense, alert position for long periods. In office workers the areas of the body most at risk are those that shorten when we sit and those that contact when we feel stressed.

Corporate yoga classes target all of these key areas. Classes combine stretching and relaxation to improve wellbeing, relieve stress and increase productivity. Each class incorporates elements of pranayama (breath control), asana (postures) and relaxation.

These classes are suitable for all abilities and all equipment can be provided.
